FEIN: A genocide inquiry?

Thanks for the article and exposing Sri Lankan state terrorism and government officials behind these worst crimes against humanity. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa openly mentioned that his government is responsible for coward operations that mean abductions and killings of Tamils. Further, he was well exposed when he tried to send the paramilitary leader to UK using fraud diplomatic passport. This alone reveled how closely Sri Lankan government and paramilitary work together in abduction and killing Tamils. US must at least step in and apply sanction on Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan government is already having very tight relationship with Iran, which US president already mentioned as axis of evil. In fact, Iran currently supports 50% of aid to Sri Lanka. Pakistan supply arms and am munitions to these worst human right violators. If US do not take any actions, Eelam Tamils will be completely eliminated by Sri Lankan government within couple of years. Sri Lankan government wage a genocide war against Tamils and act against Tamils political and democratic will. Tamils decided to free from the Sri Lankan state terrorist and form a separate state in 1977 via an election. Sri Lankan government used state terrorism to oppress the Tamil population. Like Kosovo, Eelam Tamils should be freed.

I would like express my extreme displeasure towards the author of this article Mr. Bruce Fein for wrongfully accusing a brave soldier Lt. Col. Gotabhaya Rajapakse of Sri Lanka for the commendable job he does in saving his country from the worst terrorists the world has ever seen. Sri Lanka has suffered more than it’s fair share of terrorist activities by LTTE. Sri Lanka’s secretary of defense is skillfully maneuvering the Sri Lankan Armed Forces currently to eliminate the terrorist LTTE from the civilized world. Those who are not familiar with this terrorist group, LTTE is currently a banned group of terrorists in USA, EU, India, and many other major nations around the world. Mr. Fein, is rumored to be, currently acting as a hired gun of a group indirectly related to LTTE terrorists in Sri Lanka. Contrary to the picture Bruce Fein tries to paint, it is the LTTE who wants a racially pure homeland in Sri Lanka. LTTE has killed, expelled all non-Tamil Sri Lankan civilians as well as Tamil Sri Lankans who dare to go against them from certain parts of Sri Lanka. The modus operandi of LTTE is to be concerned about HR issues when they are cornered assuming the world will bail them out. In other days, they will continue the killing spree of civilians unabated. It is one thing to be an advocate of HR and it is a totally different matter to be a hire gun of the LTTE terrorist group. In addition to retracting this article, I strongly believe that Mr. Bruce Fein owes an apology to the civilized world for posting such misleading articles.

Dear Mr. Bruce, I guess when you are writing an article some thing like this you should have your facts with you isn’t it. If you could prove some of your information I would be great full. Starting with ‘‘The Buddhist Mahavamsa combined with Buddhist monk teachings that non-Buddhist Tamils must be exterminated to honor Buddha's vision of an ethnically pure Sri Lankan state.'' Since as far as I know Buddhism never encourage killing or any harm for any kind of animal living in this world. So I would like to challenge if you have facts on this please write another article please, Also ""There has not been a single prosecution for these crimes. Indeed, in the entire 60-year history of the Sinhala-Buddhist dominated governments in Sri Lanka, no crime against a Tamil has ever been punished"" I feel like this is a pretty bold statement too. Mr. Bruce I feel like when you are writing articles you shouldn't be use these kind of bold statements unless you have been bribe by terrorists. Also have you ever been to Sri Lanka, have you ever seen killings done by Mr Prabakaran, Please Sri lanka is fighting against terrorism and against a terrorism group which is band at America, Canda, EU, UK, India and many other countries. I fell like you have agenda behind this and every body knows that LTTE is loosing their war they want every little bit of help. Remember Sri Lanka is not fighting against Tamils because they are brother’s to us we are fighting against ruthless terrorist group. One of the worst human rights violations is committed by the present Sri Lankan government and especially the defence secretary who is the brother of the president. These people not only commit crimes against Tamils but also against Sinhalese people. There is nothing wrong in this article because Gotabhaya Rajapalsa makes a appearance like he is a believer of Buddhism. All these criminals must be punished and justice should be established in this country.

Kudos to Mr. Fein for exposing the dirty war that is waged in Sri Lanka by an American citizen! Mr. Fein has shown the similarities between Sri Lanka with Sudan/Darfur. Asian Commission on Human Rights has rightly pointed out that Sri Lanka is Asia's Darfur. While Sudan's Bashir is talking about 'counter-insurgency', American Gothabaya talks about 'war on terror' and wages genocide on Tamils. In fact this genocide of Tamils is going on for the last 25 years. About 3000 innocent Tamils were butchered in the streets of Capital Colombo by organized mobs with the connivance of the Sinhalese government. This year is the 25th anniversary of that pogrom. It is high time, America does something to stop this genocide, and bring to book its own infamous citizen.

This is state terror in my opinion. Terrorists are terrorists no matter what job they hold. As long as they are involved in unlawful activites killing and abducting the people they should be protecting as members of government, they must be held accountable. Since Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and members of their regime are killing people, our country must immediatley arrest them since they are citizens of our country or take actions against Sri Lanka which harbours them. I just went on youtube and googled these fellows and they actually publicly state that those abductions and killings will continue. It seems they claiming to suppress a rebellion by the Tamils in that country. Now I see why those people are rebelling against them. Finally an articulate jurist, who speaks in a way American legal system understands, appears to be charting the way to indict in U.S. courts, U.S citizens who are committing egregious rights violations against Tamils in Sri Lanka. If there is sufficient congressional support to this claim, and it's highly likely there will be considering relatively powerful Tamil lobby, the U.S. Justice Department has no choice but to begin criminal investigations.

However, there is a rebel/terrorist group that does it better; its name is LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam) commonly known as Tamil Tigers. They have mastered the art of modern day genocide just as they mastered modern day suicide bombings. Most suicide attackers around the world follow the kamikaze method which is characterized by a deep personal commitment to a cause done without much outside compulsion; it is the individual that takes the centre-stage in deciding the time, the target and the individual can, subject to some humiliation, pull out from the mission. However Tamil Tigers are different. They catch the bombers young, some as young as ten years old and train them over the years. Brigades of thousands of suicide bombers are maintained at all times to be used against an assortment of targets at times decided solely by the terror leader. A potassium cyanide capsule is tied to the neck at their passing out ceremony to be consumed if the suicide mission fails. Therefore it is more about the death of the suicide bomber than the mission. As a result there is no room for change of mind. Tamil tigers' genocide strategy also follows this approach. Unlike the pre-historic barbaric methods as explained above, the LTTE carefully selects its target area, victims, timing, the method and even propaganda to follow. Tamil Tigers have committed genocide against a wide array of persons with the same objective in mind. Their first genocide victim was a Tamil democratic politician in 1975; thus started the 'genocide' of all Tamil democratic political activists the LTTE could lay their dirty hands on carefully sparing a few who support them. To this date thousands of Tamil political activists have been brutally killed including a Tamil foreign minister. Why is it genocide and not just mass murder? The answer lies in the objective behind their killing. All these victims propagated a democratic society with a multi-cultural set-up where people belonging to all racial groups live together. Tamil tigers are committed to the creation of a Tamil-only mono-ethnic 'homeland' for Tamils and hence do not tolerate any other views, especially popular views. At the same time Tamil Tigers targeted Tamil intellectuals who held different views. From university students, university lecturers to university chancellors and scholars, tigers killed a large number of Tamil intellectuals. ..contd.

I appreciates Mr. Bruce Fein's courage to write this article and publicizing Srilankan government atrocities to the world. Srilankan government has been systematically ethnic cleansing minorities since it gained independence from UK. Srilankan government and its paramilitaries are killing Tamils in the name of eradicating terrorism. These Srilankan officials should be brought before justice. Srilankan government is not treating Tamils as its citizen instead Srilankan governemnt forces are indiscriminately shelling, bombing Tamils inhabitant places. It clearly shows how they are determined to wipe out Tamil race in Srilanka. International community should act with justice to safe Tamil race in Srilanka.

In doing so they succeeded in silencing independent Tamil thinkers in Sri Lanka. Cultural activities, sports and recreational activities of the Sri Lankan Tamil populace were also targets of the LTTE. The North-East of the country that was bustling with sports activities before 1983 came to a grinding halt; playgrounds were deliberately vandalized by the rebels and sport was seen as a rival to guerrilla training and was hence banned. The same fate befell on cultural activities; apart from promoting LTTE propaganda, all other cultural activities were stopped. As a result, the Sri Lankan Tamil community failed to contribute effectively to the global Tamil culture. Today, all Tamil movies, songs, dramas and other artwork originate either from Tamil Nadu or Malaysia and noticeably none from Sri Lanka thanks to the Tigers. However, Tigers try to promote with a lot of effort, their promotional artwork around the world. Unfortunately for them their efforts have failed to attract the Tamil masses and even fund raising campaigns in London, etc. for the LTTE stage Tamil Nadu artists! Of course Tamil Tigers didn't forget Tamil civilians. It is no secret that the decades-old conflict has killed more Tamil civilians than civilians of other races and most were killed by the LTTE. Today the North-East which the Tamil Tigers claim the 'Tamil homeland' has the lowest population density in South Asia among livable areas. Tamils have internally migrated to other parts of the country where the majority community is the Sinhalese; 54% of all Tamils in Sri Lanka now live among the other races outside what the Tamil Tigers call the 'Tamil homeland'. This is a clear act of genocide against the Tamils by the LTTE. One other genocidal act of the LTTE is the mass forcible recruitment of children as suicide bombers and fighters. The 2002 Norway brokered ceasefire agreement (CFA) was a massive boon for the LTTE to recruit a very large number of children, some as young as ten, into their brigades. According to UN bodies more than 5,000 children were abducted by the Tamil Tigers in the first two years of the truce alone. The comical truce that officially came to an end in 2008 was very similar to the non-application of the International Law to armed groups. Armed terror groups can violate the International Law any number of times at will and they are immune to punishment; so was the truce that allowed the LTTE a free hand in committing a plethora of offences under the International Law. Essentially the CFA became a genocidal instrument for the tigers with no checks on them. There are two other main races, namely the Sinhalese (the national majority) and Muslims in Sri Lanka. Barbaric genocidal acts were committed by the LTTE against these two races that far outweigh Rwanda and Bosnia in terms of their effects. ..contd.

Hundreds of thousands of Sinhalese and Muslims were ethnically 'cleansed' by the LTTE from the North and parts on the East. The 1990 Muslim genocide (it was indeed genocide by the definition though only a few were actually killed) in the Jaffna district was monumental and still a few hundred thousand of these Internally Displaced Muslims live in refugee camps hundreds of kilometres away from their homes. The Eastern theatre was bloodier as residents didn't comply with LTTE's ethnic cleansing orders. Thousands were killed brutally in primitive style in villages, busses, schools, temples, mosques, churches and in farms by the LTTE. The most recent LTTE genocidal attack came this month (January 2008) in South-East Sri Lanka where a large number of civilians were deliberately targeted by the LTTE. Further acts of mass killing were carried out in Colombo and other areas outside the battlefield. Additionally Tigers continue to target civilian infrastructure in order to cripple civilian lives. Today Tamil Tigers control a sizable area in the North where more than 300,000 civilians (all of them Tamils) are trapped. The slightest opportunity they get, they opt to run away from Tiger control. The Sri Lankan government has started a military campaign to liberate these civilians and Tamil Tigers increasingly find their subjects unmanageable as they team-up with the Sri Lankan armed forces. However, rich Tamils living in Canada, the US, the UK, Australia and Europe fund the LTTE to continue violence in Sri Lanka. We all know that Bruce Fein is hired by the world’s most ruthless terrorist groups – LTTE or Tamil Tigers to save them from justice. LTTE is responsible for assassinating one Sri Lankan President, one Indian Prime Minister, many Sri Lankan Ministers and a countless number of politicians. Interestingly most victims of the LTTE have been Tamil democratic politicians and political activists. This is hardly surprising as the LTTE is using children young as 10 years of age as suicide bombers. LTTE has the world’s largest arsenal of suicide bombers that are used as cannon fodder giving no consideration to human lives, both of the suicides bombers’ and their victims. There is no genocide happening in Sri Lanka. What is happening is a war waged by the people of Sri Lanka against the LTTE to permanently eliminate the terrorist group from the face of this earth. Sri Lanka’s war has claimed about 75,000 lives over the past 25 years and most of these deaths were committed by the LTTE. In fact LTTE is committing genocide against the very same people it claims to protect. END.

Fein, A credible journalist or a responsible citizen or even a gentlemen with little bit of respect left would not accuse another human being with out proper evidence. Worst is to accuse a religion of peace for war crimes and show your hatred towards a part of a ethnicity of Sri Lanka to support the another ethnicity who bank rolls your life style. No where in the Buddhism (I am sure you have no idea about Buddhism or Buddhists) preach war nor Mahawansa asked to raise a pure Buddhist state. If you have try this utter bogus accusations in a court of low then judge will send you for psychiatric treatment and to isolation as you are incapable of making basic decisions by your self and for holding extreme views. You have repeated of Hitler's hate of Jews and I think you are not so distant from Hitler's genes as you have shown extreme hate towards Sinhala Buddhists and I bet if you had the power and gas chambers then you will send Sinhala Buddhists to gas chambers as quick as Hitler send Jews. The war is between a democratically elected government and a group of extremists’ terrorists but not between Sinhala and Tamil people as you trying to mislead the world. There are lot of Tamils killed by the LTTE terrorist group which lead by a Tamil himself and so if I were you I would try to get the "Tamils Against Genocide" organization to get Prabakaran and his henchman who are killing Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim people in Sri Lanka to the world court and charge him for crime against humanity. I have a senior Tamil friend who comes to play golf with us in the afternoons. Based on my conversations with him, and the confirmation which I have read, it seems that the Tamil rebel LTTE group was formed to rise up against the oppressors we know as the Sri Lankan government dominated by Buddhist Sinhalese with chauvinist,racist ideals. It seems the Tamil university students took to arms and formed LTTE to stop the Sinhala Government Racism and Terrorism they had suffered since 1948. Why did they wait too long to fight back against oppression? I will never know. It seems these Tamil youth took up arms after seeing their elderly Tamil politicians faced with violence and death when they requested seperation from the Sri Lankan government due to the discrimination of Tamils and denial of education, medicine, careers and the law which banned Tamils from their right to speak Tamil. Because of this Tamil politicians wanted self-determination in their original historically owned Tamil land known as the North East of the island - Eelam - before the British colonised it and merged both the Tamil and Sinhalese states calling it Ceylon, then Sri Lanka. Tamil leaders were being killed and anti-Tamil riots went on every few years from 1948 to 1983 ammasing to nearly 3000 killed in 1983 alone.
