A fair start to honest recognition of Israel as a fact with a religion older and far more humane than Islam can claim. To give up land for 'peace' may not make sense to Israel but if it keeps the Arabs listening, it is worth talking about.

Would somebody explain to me why it's a good idea that Isreal returns lands captured during the 1967 invasion? This land is a buffer for security and was aquired from the spoils of war. People please remember that Isreal was attacked. If everyone loves the Palistinians so much why are they still in refugee camps after all of these years? Syria and other countries could have added land to Palistine and helped to improve the econmy with jobs and housing. Instead they like to keep this festering boil inflamed. The Liberal's in Isreal and New York are going to destroy this little country.Joe Biden say,s that the US is going to be tested with something big and we are not going to like the outcome. I only hope it doesn't involve the US NOT coming to the aid of Isreal. I'm Scottish and value freedom and liberty. World Peace would be nice but don't count on it. The Messiah is coming and will part the sea's and bring world peace, pay for gas, college etc.

HCY727 - Your are wrong if you are saying Israel was attacked first in the '67 war. Israel actually attacked first.

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them..." 1 Thessalonians 5:3 Israel needs a "trail of tears" to get rid of the Palestinians and take their land (with adequate financial compensation). Let their own people in Jordan take them, or other "brothers" in Islam.

If you are attacking an enemy in a desert, air support is the key element. Then there is the USS Liberty a US spy ship attacked by Isreal killing 34 americans did the Liberty have evidence that Isreal started the war destroyed the enemy planes on the ground and thus determining the outcome in 6 days.(Google USS Liberty)

When the enemy is forming up to wipe you off the face of the earth with the Arab World chearing. Nasser closed the Strait of Tiran to all Israeli Ships and any other ships bound for Isreal. That was an declared act of war on Isreal. She had no other choice than to launched a preemptive strike when the entire Arab world is about to attack. Seems like the only smart thing to do! From War Crash Course in Jewish History by Rabbi Ken Spiro. Nasser became more and more aggressive in his verbal attacks on Israel. On May 27, 1967, he declared: "Our basic objective will be the destruction of Israel. On June 1, 1967, Iraq's president Abel Rahman Aref declared: "Our goal is clear -- to wipe Israel off the map." Egypt and Syria already had an alliance combining their armies and now Egypt made a similar agreement with Jordan. It was clear that war was imminent. On June 5th, 1967, Israel, realizing that the entire Arab world is about to attack, launched a preemptive strike.

Did Rabbi Ken Spiro mention the USS Liberty and the 34 dead and many wounded or is it best forgotten.

Israel has right to all the land in Palestine. They bought it in 1917, with the Balfour Declaration, while it was British territory, then the UN established it in 1948. Before you whine about Israel's treatment of the Palestinians, maybe you should think about the Palestinians treatment of Israelis. If the Palestinians would forswear violence against Israel, they could live in peace and prosperity. But they bring all their woes upon themselves, and their Arab "brothers" manipulate them to their own ends. Maybe we should give California back to Mexico. It was won in a war in which we also attacked first (Texas was a Mexican Republic at that time).

At least you are consistent even if it is wrong.

The land was taken during a war.. It's Israeli land. What they chose to do with it is up to them. I personally think this is a real break through. Maybe the Saudi's/ other Arab heads of state have finally realized that the "endless" wars in the middle east are a disaster. Would I trust them??? I don't know.. The King of the Saud's is a powder leader. I would want a written treaty, from him and all the other Arab countries that if we go back to the pre-67 borders that we have a "right to exist" and will not be attacked.

Hey guys ScottVa, truthspeaker1?? Have some questions: Who bought Palestine?? Was it Rothschild? How much? Was it with the Palestineans included?...or without? Why they moved in 1948 and not in 1917? Why the British considered Menachem Begin leader of terrorist group in Palestine? Quote of the day President Shimon Peres (Haaretz) “A comprehensive regional peace requires the completion of the bilateral negotiations with the Palestinians and sharing the painful cost!
