Surely the Washington Times can do better than this in finding authors. Ben Domenech has admitted to extensive plagiarism in a number of publications over a long period of time. He admitted the plagiarism only after the evidence became overwhelming after previously lying and obsfucating the truth. Why is he being published here?

Ben Domenech is incoherent. He contradicts himself and his thesis does not follow from his argument. A poor quality rant such as this should never have gotten by the editor. Domenech's thesis is "It is now abundantly clear that America is a center-left nation." His evidence reduces to "Mr. McCain was no real opponent to Mr. Obama. He presented no tangible arguments in favor of the freedom of consumer choice or against restrictive government regulation ...." and he went on to point out even more shortfalls of McKane. All that the evidence Domenech provided was that McKane was a lousy candidate. Domenech's thesis was a red herring.

Mr. Domenech's rather wandering analysis accurately reflects the confusing nature of the campaign. Obama especially promised all his admirers asked of him, never once being challenged to square his promises with his socialist, leftist record. The mood of the voters is equally confused. Center right or center left or far left, few either knew what they were voting for or didn't care, enthralled by Obama's promise of 'change'. The election was a testament to American's ignorance and irrational belief that our wonderful freedoms and prosperity are immutable. They are not. Obama will see to that.

To be honest, I would love to read an honest account from Ben Domenech about the plagiarism he has admitted to engaging in. He wants to write and that story is untold. It would be a good read. How did he start plagarising? Why? He must have known he would get caught given that he was copying articles verbatim. Was he scared? Why did he lie to his friends about it. Did the fact that he was home schooled contribute to the problem? Did he plagiarise his home school assignments too?
