K. Hovnanian Homes is building 38 single-family homes on 3- to 10-acre homesites at Brittany Estates in Stafford, less than a mile from the Brooke VRE station and close to parks, marinas, golf courses and shopping centers.

Each home in this Stafford County community will include low-maintenance vinyl siding, professional landscaping and a two-car garage.

All seven models feature four bedrooms; 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 baths; hardwood floors in the foyer; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; crown and chair-rail moldings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch raised-panel oak cabinets and Corian counters in the kitchen; ceramic tile floors in the baths; a luxury master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower; a rough-in for a lower-level bath; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have about 2,354 to 4,342 finished square feet, with base prices from $399,990 to $489,990. Homeowner association fees are $55 per month.

The Kentucky model has 4,342 square feet and is priced from $489,990. This home features a front porch, two-story foyer and an open floor plan with columns. The formal living room and formal dining room flank the foyer.

At the back of the first level are a library, a powder room, a family room with a wall of windows and a center-island kitchen and breakfast area with a walk-in pantry. Upstairs, the master suite has a separate sitting room, an oversized walk-in closet and a luxury bath.

The second bedroom has an adjacent hall bath, while the third and fourth bedrooms share a connecting bath with a double-sink vanity.
