Fascinating that the "commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet" is either a)ignorant of fact b) a hack neo-con propogandist Let's see "Clearly Russia precipitated the war by using its proxy thugs in South Ossetia to force a confrontation through repeated provocations with Tbilisi" In fact it has been clearly documented by Der Spiegel that Georgia was at fault and they recieved US military training for the attack. PACE(Parliamentary assembly of Europe) has also acknowledged this. "Poland...withdrew 35 billion from Stock market" Mr commander sir you have me in stitches, their is not 35 billion in all of Poland. "r. Putin's kleptocracy is a mafia-type organization where the mentality is that everyone has his price." Putin has carefully stashed away 700 billion in reserves while our goverment ironically rewards thieves with a 700 billion dollar bailout. The contrast couldn't be more striking. Where is the Kleptocracy Mr Admiral Sir? "that when Gasprom, Russia's monopoly natural gas trading company cut off supplies to Ukraine and Georgia in January 2006, it made clear to all of Mr. Putin's willingness to use Russia's energy resources to exert political influence." Actually Ukraine wanted to pay 60$ when the going rate was 350$ not to mention they were siphoning off gas destined for West Europe and not paying for it. "Another example is the more than three-year Russian piped oil blockade of the Latvian port of Ventspils because Moscow wanted to install one of its companies as owner of the port facilities." Actually Russia built a terminal next to St Petersburg so they do not need Ventspils anymore. Mr General Sir. "Then, there was the Russians "Transneft" monopoly who informed Lithuania there will be a "lengthy" halt to oil flowing to its refinery at Mazeikiai as a result of "repairs" to the pipelines. How convenient!" Russia has offered for Lithuania to pay for the repairs( http://www.rbcnews.com/free/20081001093606.shtml) "Accelerate NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) procedures for Georgia and Ukraine" Brilliant General Sir! - For Russia that is. This would result in in the entire eastern and southern Ukraine(the strategically important and industrial parts)ceding from Ukraine and joining Russia. Note to the supreme commander of Pac fleet: 70% of Ukraine is against NATO membership. I thought we were for democracy and freedom? What's truly embarassing is that someone as uninformed and strategically clueless as the Grand pupa Lyons could rise to such high positions in the US military. However this may be why the supreme machismo is reduced to ignorant rants on the internet. NATO is de-facto dead as the Russo-German relationship is intensifying(Merkel was in Russia last week and the German energy company EON bought a stake in the field that will supply the norther pipeline) and will revert back to its natural, historical symbiotic relationship.

Again continuous propagation. Lie in Orwell style. *All forget that Orwell wrote his book - strong about the USA...* I think that it is impossible to write about this war and to forget about the killed civilians: Video forbidden in the US mass-media. The Georgian armies trained by Americans shoot on August, 8th a peace city of Tskhinvali and kill civilians. They hope for the help of the USA and on that that Russia will come to the rescue of Ossetins. Video acts in film Georgians on a videocamera and a mobile phone. It is taken from the Georgian corpses. Georgians killed the Ossetians because Ossets wanted independence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oqiSOPijiU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QJNYnbCVl4 The Jewish quarter of Tskhinvali the destroyed 08.08 by georgians (picture) http://pics.livejournal.com/algis_koenig/pic/0000w7s0/s640x480 Georgians troops in morning 08/08 attaсk Tskhinvali (!city!) with "Grad" (unscrupulous soviet missile weapon - no world analogues) http://www.russia.ru/zhinval_grad/ We had all gotten used to the American, and some other media bias in their reports about the state of South Ossetia. There is no need to describe all the false information spread by the western media in the past couple of weeks; however, it is undeniable that it was widely condemned by the civilians of South Ossetia. http://osetins.com/georgian_aggression/

Germany is NOT pro-american country. Really... --------- "N-TV", Germany television channel --------- n-tv.de: you have an explanation why the president of Georgia has given the order to attack South Ossetia? Eppler : It that, on what at me is not present the answer. In effect that this man, abnormally has made. But, I believe that those 180 American advisers in Georgia should know it. Without their permission in general nothing could be made. In this respect I am afraid that about war plans knew in Washington. Then I ask myself that there, in what heads, should occur. n-tv.de: And to whom this war brings benefit? I do not see any motive. Eppler : Probably, it brings benefit to McCain in pre-election struggle .... n-tv.de: whether There is no at you a sensation, what the federal government is on this way? The first reaction of the chancellor to Medvedev's statement has been formulated sharply enough? Eppler : I think that here madam Merkel plays not too good role. Its statement that Georgia even after an attack to South Ossetia has the right to enter into the NATO, only aggravates a situation. Personally I can tell only that I would not like, that the life of my grandson depended on Saakashvili's mood. n-tv.de: you consider, what Saakashvilis or Georgia would be NATO threat? Eppler : Georgia, in that kind in which it now - if seriously concerns article 5 of the North Atlantic contract - would be threat for a life of people in all countries of the NATO. ------------- the former minister of economic cooperation of Germany Erhard Eppler entering into the government of the patriarch of social democracy of Villi Brandt, recognised moral authority of a German policy.
