This is no surprise. Obama talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.

McCain IS the maverick reformer. Barack hopes to reform something someday. ... My hope is that comes before his next memoir. I would like to hear about what he has done to help IL -unfortunately, there is nothing to tell because he has done NOTHING.

Hey Politics - Obama's done PLENTY in Illinios - all of it bad. "Community Organizing", or as Lenin/Marx used to call it; "Community Organizing", is a pretense for Soviet style wealth redistribution. In Chicago's south side they call it Black Liberation Theory too, but it's aim is class warfare Seriously, look it up. The job and it's goals have not changed here in the US, ask Ayers and Dorhn. It's just unbelievable that Obama would think that the average person is dumb enough (B. Hussein is spending too much time with his supporters methinks) that he could run for President on it.

For all Obama's posturing on ethics, who can really map out the source of his money and high-level support? Reversing his pledge to run a publicly financed campaign is another example of his lack of character. McCain's record should lead any reasonable observer to conclude that he means what he says, and will stick to his principles.

The problem with this record is that it is also the reason so many of us have been disappointed by McCain. He has joined Democrats, in opposition to conservative principles, too many times. McCain-Feingold, McCalin-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman etc.

Onto a foolish political miscalculation topic, by putting Palin on his ticket, Senator McCain was not putting our country’s main issues first, front and center. As reported, 75% of those polled across this country attested that McCain picked Palin for pure political leverage. Bush/McCain’s trolls, ‘trollops’ and lobbyists are digging us further into cultural and financial ruins. Every hour, since the Republicans put out a contract on America, more folks are dragged deeper into that cultural warfare muck while our financial institutions were being violated. McCain was surely NOT thinking country first when he selected a person who claims a few months ago to not knowing the duties of the vice-president, after switching colleges 6 times to get a bachelor degree, what did she learn? One should at least know what a job is all about before applying for it and claiming to be qualified for it. Given that 72 year old McCain, stated, in summary, that he would want to pick a vice-presidential mate who could with some experience "be president from day one", one must as a true patriot question the judgment and temperament of Senator McCain with his vice presidential ‘soul mate’ maybe wind beneath his wings vice choice. There is a lot more national and international experiences on the Obama/Biden ticket. The changes that Senator Obama will bring speaks clearly in the U.S Senate bill that he worked on with Republican Senator Tom Corburn, that bill was crafted to allow the American people to go on the internet and see a public repository database detailing what, where and who their tax dollars are being spent on. There are more instances where Obama has reach across the aisle to bring about verified changes, as attested by his life story. In fact he is alive and able to run for president because of changes that we had need but some resisted but many finally agreed. Obama embodies the words change we need more so than McCain could ever imagine. That fighting spirit to bring change to Congress as shown by Senator Obama is a bit more than what McCain has shown in his first term of a total of five terms in the senate. In fact Senator McCain’s first and second terms in the U.S Senate found him caught up and later convicted by his peers as part of the Keating Five and the Savings and Loans banking scandal. By picking Mrs. Palin, with very little national policy experience and zero foreign policy 'insight', (zero credit for having a remote part of Russia 'in site' from Alaska) the 20 months in office Alaska governor asked to be on a presidential ticket, Senator McCain has evidently blemished his campaign motto of putting country first; The errors of McCain's poor judgment may be permanent. You can Stop it, Do it, Vote Obama/Biden 08'

This is not surprising given Obama's real agenda. Check out this link to the real Obama. http://www.ibdeditorial.com/series8.aspx

To Pluribus adn all the other Obama Koolade drinkers out there. See this is why most true CONSERVITIVES do NOT support McCain and ar evoting for hime because to vote against the EXTREMELY PARTISAN far left wing radical out of touch w/most of Amercica Obama See link below for truth about Barack Hussien Obama http://www.empty-suit.com/movies/ayers/ As for Palin we wouldlove to see her as President! Very Reganesque Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander of the Alaska National Guard consider this. Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It's on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units. As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's and certainly by far exceeds Obama's. She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans. Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska 's proximity to Russia , she may have security clearances we don't even know about. According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets. She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

Dear pluribus, You mention a true patriot, then I would suggest you read the main story (3) on the NY Post site this morning and then come back and talk patriotism to me. This man, Sen. Obama, would take the lives of our brave service men and women to get into the White House. One side of his mouth he says, "This was MY plan all along" for troop withdrawal, an out the other side, he is asking the Iraqi government NOT to have a time table yet...Now that is a leader....NOT

Election time brings out as many opinions as the Kentucky Derby does, and about twice as many spread sheets. The difference being, about 90 percent of the authors of election propoganda are the mudders. This one just happens to be a real classic .

The comments below are hysterical. Juan "War Hero" McCain is a RINO. Putting lipstick on a pig - putting Palin on the ticket - won't change the behavior of liberal McCain. The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Obama is an ARAB-American. Obama has ZERO experience leading anything. America can NOT afford Obama. Democrats got us into this energy mess and refuse to let us get out of it by drilling for oil in our own country. They are trying AGAIN to make us dependant on foreign oil and raise the price to us with higher taxes on oil producers. Wake up, America.

Obama isn't an Arab-American....he's a Man with a Tan. He's from Hawaii, for goodness sake...and went to Punahou, Hawaii's most exclusive (expensive) private school. Not exactly from the 'hood. And he probably spoke the Islands's dialect, pidgin....that is before he went off to the Mainland. So when he speaks in front of African-American groups and slips a little into their dialect - not ebonics in the true sense of the word, since is still has proper sentence structure....but he does have a tendency to call female reporters "sweetie" (hey you Republican media consultants, make a TV commercial using that clip...it's on YouTube, so I know you all can find it) - I roll my eyes! Instead of "Hey brudah", he says "Hey bro'". Cracks me up... A Man with a Tan...and an empty suit to boot...voting "present"! Wake up America, indeed...

This is misleading. I did my own research on www.senate.gov, and not looking at Resolutions (i.e. "We, the Senate, should honor the Dairy Industry for a day"), McCain has sponsored or co-sponsored 13 bills across the aisle in the 109th and 110th congresses. Obama has 21 such bills in the same time frame. You talk about the total number of co-sponsors only, which is misleading and incomplete.
