Mr. Blankley has made a factual error in this piece: Al Franken was involved in the opening sketch (with McCain "approving" campaign attack ads). Franken had nothing whatsoever to do with the later sketch depicting New York Times journalists and their suggestions of incest among the Palins.

Outstanding commentary Mr. Blankley. The MSM are already starting to get what they deserve but I hope more Americans wake up to what they have done so far and what Obama really is. Nobama would not recognize the truth if he tripped over it. He has changed positions so many times in the past several months it gives you whiplash. He is nothing more than a phony empty suit created by moveon.org and their fellow travelers as well as the dirty Chicago political machine. Gov. Palin is eminitely more qualified than he is and she is on the bottom of the ticket. More and more Americans are wising up every day to what Nobama really is.

Great article. New York Times again printed out right lies about Rick Davis's connection to Fannie May. Our young have been brain washed and think this cool, black dude, Obama is actually going to change the world. This is not American Idol and performance on stage does not relate to leadership.

Many thanks to Tony for this article. It sums up everything that concerns me and I wish every voter would read it. One example of Obama's Chicago political career can be found in the August 20th issue of the WSJ wherein Obama actually worked against the reformers from both parties who were trying to elect a clean Cook County Commisssioner in the 2006 elections to replace a sleezy Daley machine guy, who ended up winning. Compare that to Palin's record in Alaska where she actually did something about corruption even in her own party. You would never know this from the New York Times, etc. You would think a few of the hords of reporters they sent to Alaska could have stopped in Chicago to look into this.

Blankley baselessly claimed Franken helped write SNL parody of NY Times reporter suggesting Palin family incest http://mediamatters.org/items/200809240014 In his September 24 column, syndicated columnist Tony Blankley baselessly asserted that a sketch from the September 20 edition of NBC's Saturday Night Live -- which portrayed a New York Times reporter who writes a story suggesting that Gov. Sarah Palin's husband had engaged in incest with his daughters -- was "written with the assistance" of Al Franken, the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party candidate for U.S. Senate in Minnesota. Blankley wrote: "More appalling, NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' suggested that Gov. Sarah Palin's husband had sex with his own daughters. That scene was written with the assistance of Al Franken, Democratic Party candidate for Senate in Minnesota. Talk about incest." Blankley provided no evidence for his assertion. In fact, Franken reportedly had a role in the production of a different sketch, titled "McCain Approves Open," that aired during the same edition of SNL.

Obama is a national security threat. Obama out--race war; Obama in--world war.

Check out: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/?page=full This is the change Obama brought to Chicago. Where is the press on this? As for the "baselessly asserted" claim that Franken was involved in the incest skit I have two questions. One, out of this entire article that is the only thing you have to say? Two, does Franken's non-involvement make the skit any less disgusting and tasteless?

Obama is a communist and Tony ought to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his intelligent voice of reason. If elected, Obama would be the first fully trained marxist president in our nations history. Anyone who has researched Obama's background has found out the extraordinary nature of his radicalization. Rev. Wright was just the tip of the iceberg. 20 years in a racist, america hating church following a "Black Value System"? What the hell is that, Obama? An adolescence tutored by Frank Marshall Davis, a made member of the Communist Party USA? This is a huge story the press has refused to illuminate. Davis, one of the most radical black activists and newspapermen in the 30's, 40's and 50's, was Obama's primary handler and indoctrinator into the mysteries of collectivism. He became the father and mentor to Obama and had the same bitter hatred of America that Rev. Wright espoused. By the time Obama left Hawaii for Occidental College, he was well on his way to being the communist he is today. His associations with ex-Weathermen, the Saul Alinsky marxist ACORN fraud machine, dirty Chicago poitical kingmakers and scores of radical marxist enablers throughout this country make me fear this man more than any other figure in politics. I was a student in the 60's and know the movement well. He is a Manchurian Candidate for international socialism. The Democratic Party absorbed all the flotsam after the breakup of the SDS and the Weathermen when these revolutionaries grew up and moved into education, law and government. I fear for my country.

RE: "This is the kind of editing one would expect from Goebbels' disciples, not Cronkite's." Goebbels was a fascist. Cronkite was/is, at best, one of Communism's "Useful Idiots" as per his subversion of U.S. victory in Vietnam. I wouldn't be surprised if Cronkite's useful idiocy goes back to WWII. 'Difference between a fascist and a Communist is just a matter of technique. Otherwise, thank you for your truthful editorial.

Now, can we get these questions on the front page of the WS Journal? Mr. Blankley has truly said that the Emperor has no clothes. He is Chance the Gardener, created by an adoring media. He is both a machine politician and a long standing collaborator with American terrorists. He is the deconstructed man, made of nothing and yet created and viciously defended by a media that has lost, permanently I fear, any shame at being a shill for the Democrats. Conservatives and all Americans are now paying for the decades when they ignored the importance of paying for a strong presence in journalism and in the colleges. The institutions which most shape new voters have misshapen the last three generations. Let us hope that a slim majority still remembers what truth looks like.

I wish someone in the media would publicize the fact that in the history of our nation the Pentagon has been bombed twice. Once, by Al Qaeda, 9/11/01 Once, by William Ayers,1972 Of the day he bombed the Pentagon, Ayers says, "Everything was absolutely ideal. ... The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the b*stards were finally going to get what was coming to them." Both remain unrepentant. In recent interviews Ayers has said " he wished he had done more." William Ayers bombed the Pentagon while John McCain was a POW in North Vietnam. The bombing disrupted operations in the Vietnam War while Senator McCain was in captivity. It actually halted military actions in Vietnam. We now know that the North Vietnamese were well aware of the anti-war movement. The question is: Did this act by William Ayers help to prolong Sen. McCain's and all of the other POW's captivity ? Obama has no problem with this ? Obama spent years studying at the feet of his mentor, William Ayers in Chicago. And now, Obama wants to be Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces? Obama needs to be held accountable for his association with the traitor William Ayers.

Excellent thought-provoking article -- the best I've read on Obama. I feel like I live in a parallel universe where I KNOW THE TRUTH but the media is feeding me lies. Obama is the reason I've switched from a lifelong Democrat to an Independent and will vote Republican for the first time. Every Democrat I've looked up to for all these years is now FOR Obama -- even Jimmy Carter! I'm shocked and outraged that my country is being stolen by kool-aid drinkers who must have an agenda and freedom is not on it.

A researcher for the NYTimes was commissioned to investigate Obama's heritage and ancestry. He didn't expect what he found. He gave the info to the NYTimes, but the Times chose not to publish it (surprise...NOT). The researcher put the info on his web site out of duty to our counrty. Here is the link for the article and research. Hope you can use it. This deception by Obama is obviously deliberate. Most people in America would not vote for an Arab-American, certainly not the African-Americans, since Arabs have been involved in slave trading and worse in Africa. http://kennethelamb.blogspot.com/2008/02/barak-obama-questions-about-ethnic.html Although Obama's father is a Kenyan citizen he is listed as Arab-African. Obama is only 6.25% African, but is 43.75% ARAB and 50% Caucasian. This is a "slave trading" componant to Obama's Kenyan relatives. Obama would not want that to get out.
