Your article overlooks that Colorado is a diverse place, with a wide range of outlooks and opinions. The political profiles of Denver, Boulder, Limon, Greeley, Colorado Spring, Mancos, Walsenberg, Trinidad, and Monterose are all widely varying. Further, remember that Colorado is birthplace of the Libertarian Party, thus you cannot look at politics there through a traditional Left-Right/Democratic-Republican lens. Likewise, because Colorado's eastern plains are essentially a mere extension of Western Kansas, there is a Grange legacy that produces a strong Progressive streak in the state as well. Consequently, Coloradans, at least from settler families, will not be surprised at all by their state's political and racial multi-cultualism -- such tolerance was a survival trait that helped us thrive on the frontier.
P.S. -- Please don't force refreshes on your pages just so you can sove another ad in our face. It causes writers to loose their unsubmitted commits, which is annoying to no end.
