EWING GRATEFUL: Georgetown and NBA legend Patrick Ewing, who was a Wizards assistant and is now with the Rockets, is happy for the organization where he got his start as an assistant coach. “I’m happy for Eddie [Jordan]; I think he’s a fine coach,” Ewing said. “[General manager] Ernie [Grunfeld] has been a very good friend, and I wish them the best. The Wizards were very good to me. They gave me an opportunity to coach, and I’m very respectful of that and for that I thank them.”
