Morrisonn, Jurcina practice ... still out

So I didn't realize until this morning that my post-practice blog entry from yesterday never went live on the site. That's a heaping bag of FAIL on my part, because I turned off my computer before I hit send (or at least I think that is what I did). Anyway, it all stuff that can either be found on twitter (@cmasisak22) or in my two stories in the paper today.

As for today's news, both Milan Jurcina and Shaone Morrisonn took part in the morning skate but Bruce Boudreau said they are both out for tonight's game. Boudreau said Morrisonn could be ready to play tomorrow night, but Jurcina probably not before Monday in Ottawa.

Morrisonn said he blacked out on the ice for a second or two after hitting New York's Brian Boyle, but came to before falling down and finished his shift.

He and Brendan Morrison are both sporting new moustaches in honor of "Movember" to help raise awareness for men's health issues such as prostate cancer and depression. Seems like a good fit for Mo and Mo, right?

As for the goalies, well, Semyon Varlamov came off first today, but not much before Michal Neuvirth. Boudreau didn't say who was playing, but did say Jose Theodore will go on the trip. The coach also said that "someone" might not go, which is either Neuvirth or him back-tracking on Theodore.

All of the other injured guys did not skate today. Boudreau said Alexander Semin and Boyd Gordon could be back by Monday, but that seems like a reach on Gordon. He's got to skate again before playing is an option.

John Carlson said he is keeping it simple for tonight's game ,and only some family members are going to attend -- even though he's from New Jersey.

Finally, Quintin Laing is here at K-Plex today. As it turns out, when he had to have surgery on his broken jaw, the x-rays also showed that Laing did indeed break his nose Nov. 7 against Florida. Remember, he also scored a goal that night after breaking it.
