Barack and Brit: birds of a feather?

DENVER -- Talk about your need to vet. Apparently, the Greek-themed set where Barack Obama will formally accept his party's nomination was built by the same company that created the stage for pop tart Britney Spears' most recent tour.

The New York Post reported today that RDA Entertainment built both clients' sets -- though Obama's setup is much more elaborate. Republicans were already having a heyday poking fun at the "Barackopolis," and this adds more fuel to the fire. And of course it comes on top of the kerfluffle between likely Republican candidate John McCain and Obama over who is a bigger celebrity and who has more gravitas.

This is about as ridiculous as claiming that McCain was in Jack Abramoff's pocket because he once had lunch at the latter's restaurant, Signatures, in DC. I feel sorry for cerebrally challenged who come up with such peabrained connections.
