• Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Abdallah, medical treatment director of the Amel Center for Treatment and Rehabil-itation of Victims of Torture in Sudan and winner of the 2007 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award. He holds a 1 p.m. press conference at the National Press Club to discuss charges that the Sudan government attempted to eliminate refugee camps in Darfur before U.N. peacekeepers arrived. He addresses the Center for American Progress on Wednesday and speaks at the George Washington University Medical Center on Thursday. He receives the human rights award in a 10:30 a.m. ceremony on Friday in room 325 of the Russell Senate Office Building .
• Obaidullah Ramin, Afghanistan's minister of agriculture, who addresses the annual U.S.-Afghan Business Matchmaking Conference, organized by the Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce.
